NEW YEARS EVE IN VIENNA

We, Micheal, my boyfriend and me, started our 31th with a lunch at Vapiano. Afterwards we walked through the Silvesterpfad, listened to some of the concerts and drank an "Apfelpunsch". At about 5 pm we arrived back home and started to cook our dinner, a Variation of Tapas. After dinner, we had some time left until midnight so we decided to do lead-pouring. Then we drove with the 1er to Stefan-Fadinger-Platz and walked a few meters to Wienerberg where we watched the fireworks all over Vienna.

As you may know the 1st of January is a Holiday in Austria, so all the Shops are closed that is why we decided to visit the "Haus des Meeres" one of three bigger Zoos in Vienna where you can mostly see different Aquariums, but also a few Terrariums and Monkeys can be seen. On top of it is an amazing viewing plattform where you have a stunning view over whole vienna. But I also recommend a tour with the hop-on-hop-off-bus, because there you can see more or less all the sights without paying a horrendous price for a short ride with a horse-drawn carriage. In the evening we had a noble dinner at the Huth Grillhouse Da Max.

On the second we went to Landtmann Cafe for breakfast, which was delicious and super chick, additionally we met the ex-federal President of Austria, Heinz Fischer. Afterwards went shopping, in Mariahilferstraße, Kärntnerstraße, Kohlmarkt and Donauzentrum. At Karl Lagerfeld I fullfilled one of my dreams and bought myself a bag there, what made me super happy! In the afternoon we went to our favourite Cafe, Heiner where my boyfriend had a "Krapfen" and I had a hot chocolate with whipped cream. And that was our lovely stay in Vienna!
